In a very big way, my Books of Gem are what I am. Here's the dedication used in many of them, with the titles listed below:
This book is dedicated to my ever present and always accounted for husband, Tom M. Shelnutt. When his love shines in his face, my spirit soars. I feel like I'm home, and could fly to the sun.
My admiration is constant for his diligence in his chosen profession, a dedication surged to berserker levels when he's blocked from his tasks (that's when he comes home with steam in his ears).
Tom maintains an unwavering belief in my writing, even when its style may not be to his taste. Some of my happiest moments are when he praises what I think, say, or write, and shares what we read.
The biographical parts of NEW MOON BLUES tell some of the events of Tom, me, and Arlo living and working together (as the fictional characters of John, Jennifer, and Ebony O'Reilley). The joy in the story is evident and true. We're of the German Shepherd family.
